We wanted to take this time to highlight some of the videography work we did for Lorena and Joseph’s wedding day and a little about how we came to shoot their wedding and some other fun details.
- How did they find Video Gems?
They met our team at another wonderful wedding (Maddison and Domenic) that we were working at, and that they were guests at. During the day Lorena and Joseph got a sneak peek at the same day edits we provided and were wowed by our overall quality and product.
- Where did Lorena & Joseph Get Married?
The wedding ceremony took place at St Matthew’s Church in Oakville, ON. Their reception was hosted at the incredible Venetian banquet hall in Vaughan, ON.
- What package did they choose?
Once Lorena and Joseph decided they wanted Video Gems, we had a consultation to discuss their needs, vision, and what they hoped to gain from their own wedding video. After some discussion, they decided to choose our Diamond Package. The Diamond package includes two cameras, a Steadicam + slide tracker, full day coverage, same day edit, and a feature-length film (45min-1 hour in length).
Lorena and Joseph expressed that they were hoping for something unique classic, but a video that was also fun and relaxed. They expressed the importance of having an emotional and fun video, that could also be timeless – which is a Video Gems trademark!
- Where the videos were taken
Aside from the venue and the banquet hall, they choose Glendon Hall in Toronto for photos. This location is not only a very popular spot for wedding photos, but it also allowed us to capture some spectacular drone shots.
- Fun video highlights
Some great and spontaneous shots of the guys playing different games were captured in the game room of the groom’s house. While you would never know watching the video, Lorena and Joseph had some trouble choosing a song for their same day edit and let our team decide. The song, “If I Lose Myself” ended up being the one we went with, and while a little hesitant at first, they loved it once they saw the video.
- A Special Moment Captured
Apart from the amazing moments of love during the wedding, everyone’s favorite was the final shot of the same day edit of the groom throwing a dart and revealing the wedding rings hanging from a dart on the dartboard.
