While we take pride in providing the very best in wedding videography services to Toronto, we love that we forge true connections with our clients and are often referred because of this. Amand a and Daniel’s wedding is a great example of how our friendly staff and videographers can truly capture the joy and the special moments of a wedding.
How They Knew Our Services
Our Video Gems team had been lucky enough to shot six of Amanda’s friends’ weddings in the past. So, since she was very familiar with our videos and process and loved our final products, she actually went ahead and booked without her husband, Daniel, being present (we don’t think he minded).
The Ceremony & Venue
Amanda and Daniel had a beautiful ceremony at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church – located in the country and known for its classic charm. Their reception was held at the elegant Royal Ambassador Banquet Hall which is a very in-demand location for weddings.
The Video Gems Package They Selected
The couple chose to go with our exclusive Diamond package. This amazing package has everything you could want and includes the use of two cameras, Steadicam and slider, full-day coverage, same-day edits, and a feature-length film that ranges from 45 minutes to a full hour.
Their Wedding Video
Both the photo and our video shoot took place at The Alton Mill Arts Centre which is located off the shores of the Shaw’s Creek. This rustic backdrop is ideal for indoor and outdoor shoots – which worked perfectly for Amanda’s and Daniel’s February wedding.
As mentioned, the couple was familiar with our shoots and style and outlined that they wanted something similar to what we did for their friends, but, obviously unique to their big day and personalities. In terms of style, we went for a laid back and casual approach with a flare of traditional aspects as well. This resulted in a wonderful video filled with classic shots and along with easy-going and humorous elements.
A Funny Moment
As it was a February wedding, it was rather cold outside. For the outdoor shots of the Amanda and Daniel on the balcony with the bridal party down below, while it looked like everyone was relaxed and comfortable, everyone was putting on their brave faces for the shoot as it was a little chilly (although you would never know!).
Another great shot and moment, and one that highlights our great Canadian winters, is a candid shot of the groom walking in the snow with his snow boots on.
Intimate Moment
A great moment we were able to capture was the bride and groom surprising one another with gifts – a winter coat for Daniel, and a beautiful purse for Amanda.
